Privacy Policy

Infinisweeper is a free, hobby-built browser game. Here's exactly what it does and doesn't do with your information.
What we collect
- Submitting a leaderboard score (always, whether or not you sign in): the username you type, your score, the date, and a snapshot of your board state at the time you submit (so the "replay" view works for anyone looking at that entry). This is tied to an anonymous ID that Firebase assigns automatically the first time you load the game — it isn't linked to your name, email, or any other personal information unless you separately choose to sign in.
- If you choose to sign in with Google (optional): we receive your email address, display name, and Google account ID via Firebase Authentication. This is used purely to sync your in-progress board across devices, so you can pick up where you left off somewhere else. Signing in is entirely optional and is separate from submitting a leaderboard score — you can do either one without the other.
- We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic aggregate traffic stats (page views, browser/device type). It's cookie-free and doesn't track you across other sites.
What we don't do
- No ads, no ad trackers, no selling or sharing your data with third parties.
- We never see or store your Google password — sign-in is handled entirely by Google/Firebase.
Where it's stored
Everything lives in Firebase (Google): anonymous leaderboard submissions and board replays in Infinisweeper's own project, and — only if you sign in — your account info and in-progress saved board in a separate shared project used across Hackatoa's games for account sign-in.
How long we keep it
Indefinitely. It's a leaderboard and save-game system with no automatic expiry, unless you ask us to delete something (see below).
Your choices
- Play without signing in, and only the leaderboard-submission data described above is ever collected.
- Sign out at any time — your board simply stops syncing across devices.
- Email server@hackatoa.com to request deletion of your account's data, or of a specific leaderboard entry.
Children's privacy
Infinisweeper isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above.
